Springtime Flight at Sleeping Bear Dunes — from Empire Bluffs Overlook, we watched swans in flight with Canada Geese following close behind. South Manitou Island is on the horizon, with North Manitou Island in the distance.

Wisconsin Winter Wildlife

Winter in northern Wisconsin is a treat for us, with frequent views of our wild neighbors simply living their lives: otters running, sliding, and weaving through the wetlands and across the frozen waterway; eagles trying to steal fish from the otters; coyotes crossing the frozen lake to make their daily rounds.

We hear coyotes howling pretty often — such lovely songs echoing in our dreams!
